chức trao tặng nhà, quà tình nghĩa cho các gia đình thương binh, liệt sĩ, gia đình chính sách tại một số tỉnh, thành phố với tổng số tiền gần 200 triệu đồng. 

Tại Nghệ An, Đoàn đã trao tặng cho các gia đình liệt sĩ Hoàng Đình Nhung, 91 tuổi (xã Hùng Tiến, huyện Nam Đàn) một ngôi nhà và đồ dùng sinh hoạt trị giá gần 40 triệu đồng; tặng 40 triệu đồng cho mẹ Vi Thị Liên ở bản Nà Ngá, Mường Nọc, Quế Phong để xây nhà mới; đến thăm và tặng quà các gia đình chính sách tại xã Hùng Tiến, Hùng Long (Nam Đàn); xã Nậm Giải (Quế Phong) và Trung tâm nuôi dưỡng thương binh tâm thần kinh tại xã Nghi Phong (Nghi Lộc). Ngoài ra, Đoàn còn đến thăm và tặng quà tại Trung tâm bảo trợ xã hội xã Minh Quang (Vũ Thư, Thái Bình), Trung tâm điều dưỡng thương binh nặng Lạng Giang, các gia đình chính sách huyện Yên Dũng, Lục Nam (Bắc Giang), phường Vĩnh Tuy, Trần Hưng Đạo (Hà Nội)...

Được biết, trong nhiều năm qua, Tổng công ty VTC thường xuyên tổ chức thăm hỏi, trao tặng quà các gia đình chính sách, người có công, ủng hộ và đóng góp vào các quỹ nghĩa tình. Đặc biệt Tổng công ty đang khẩn trương triển khai kế hoạch hỗ trợ xây dựng hàng trăm ngôi nhà giúp đỡ đồng bào các dân tộc huyện Quế Phong xóa nhà tạm, nhà dột nát trong năm 2009.
